Breeding Max Stats with the Propagator

When breeding to achieve max mutations across multiple stats, each stat should be bred independently.

For example, if the goal is a Max Weight + Max HP Bronto, we will create separate lines:

  • Weight Line: Focus only on increasing Weight.
  • HP Line: Focus only on increasing HP.

Once each stat is completed, the lines can then be combined into a single dino.

1. Setting Up a Stat

Let's use Weight as an example:

  • Choose 1 Bronto with the desired Weight stat as the Base.
  • Put the Base into the Propagator with around 18–20 Female Brontos.
  • Set up 2 Mut Pulses.
  • Start breeding.

The goal of each breeding cycle is to produce an offspring with:

Weight stat = Base Weight stat + 4

If the offspring reaches the desired Base + 4 stat, keep it and use it as the new Base for the next breeding cycle.

The offspring's gender does not matter. If the offspring has the desired stat but is Female, simply use the Propagator's function to change it to Male before the next breeding cycle.

If the offspring does not have the desired stat, continue breeding with the current Base.

2. Breeding Multiple Stats in Parallel

The important part of this method is that you do not need to finish one stat before starting another.

For example:

Weight Line

Weight Base → +4 Weight → +4 Weight → +4 Weight → ...

HP Line

HP Base → +4 HP → +4 HP → +4 HP → ...

Both lines can be bred simultaneously, which can significantly reduce the overall breeding time.

Once both Weight and HP reach the desired levels, combine the two lines to create the final Bronto with Max Weight + Max HP.

3. FAQ

Do the Females need to have Perfect Lines?

No!

The Females do not need to have Perfect Lines. You only need to focus on the single stat that you are currently breeding to max.

For example, if you are breeding a Weight Bronto, only the Weight stat matters. The Weight stat you are trying to increase will always be inherited from the Male/Base.

The other stats on the Females are not important for the stat you are currently breeding.

Do the Females have to be Clean?

No!

The Females do not have to be Clean. However, using Females with many mutations can make stat tracking more confusing and increase the chance of making a mistake.

For example, you may be breeding a Weight Bronto at 104, but some of your Females might have other high stats, such as:

  • 98 HP
  • 102 Melee

When checking the offspring, it can become easy to mistake those stats and think you are breeding HP or Melee instead of Weight.

So while Clean Females are not required, using Females with clear and easy-to-track stats can make the breeding process much easier to manage.

Should I keep the old mutation generations?

Yes!

Until the stat has reached its maximum, you should keep the previous mutation generations as backups.

For example:

Weight 100 → 104 → 108 → 112 → 116 → ...

Do not immediately discard the previous generations after obtaining a new Base.

The new baby could:

  • Die unexpectedly.
  • Fail to inherit the desired stat.
  • Be lost due to an accident.
  • Or you could encounter an unexpected problem that causes you to lose your current Base.

Keeping the previous generations gives you a backup and allows you to recover the breeding line without starting over from scratch.

Tip: Only consider clearing the old generations once the stat is completed and you are certain that your new line has been safely backed up.

Should I Start Breeding with an Even Stat?

Yes!

It is recommended to start breeding with an even base stat.

Since each successful mutation adds +4 stat points, starting from an even number ensures that your final stat can reach 254, which is considered the ideal maximum.

For example:

102 → 106 → 110 → ... → 254

If the stat reaches 255, that stat can no longer gain additional points from leveling up.

On the other hand, stopping at 253 is only one point lower and has almost no practical impact on performance. However, 254 is generally considered the "perfect" stopping point, making it the most satisfying and clean result for a completed breeding line.

Summary

Choose Base → 18–20 Females → 2 Mut Pulses → Breed → Check offspring → If offspring = Base + 4, use it as the new Base → Repeat.

At the same time, you can run multiple stat lines in parallel instead of waiting for Weight to be completed before starting HP.

This allows you to efficiently build individual Max Stat lines and combine them later into your final Max Stats Bronto.
